VIN 3- Out with the Bathwater

When you call a professional to do a job. You tell them what you want. They do their best to compliment you. Ultimately, you get what you need. You will never get all you want, but you can get at least some of it, with what you need.

That is why you call a professional. Not for the labor; for the knowledge of that labor.

What some people seem to forget is that this is the very basis of economics; fulfillment at a premium. The premium itself decides the investment. Not t’other way ’round.

Incidentally, this principle is the basis of all evolution, often going by the common name of “competition.”

Competition is at the very basis of nature. The strive for finite resources is what drives evolution. Success and reproduction through environmentally-honed adaptation; AKA, Natural Selection.

In the case of a market, the selection is for those bold, innovative, intelligent, or any combination enough therein, to take proper, calculated risks. The kind with large and lasting results.

For a species whose intellect has completely removed not only itself, but other species from the natural order of things, what direction are we to take?

Humanity as we knew it, had examples. It had the Romans. Greeks. The Mongols and Ottoman, and the Crusades, and everything between, in, and around. The dark ages. Slavery. Oppression. Warfare. Genocide.

Humanity had it all, good and bad, to learn from.

Yet here we sit, post-digital children torn between human and post-human. We have no great horizons, because we have only great horizons. The problem is, those horizons can only be seen if we survive to them.

Right now, we are newborn infants in bathwater. If we are not careful with our current and succeeding generation, we will fail to thrive. Ultimately consigning ourselves to be cast out with it.

Humanity is in dangerous need of deep reflection.

Jim Sterling’s videos detail what is happening in gaming, but the corruption of these tactics is now pandemic. It has become an ubiquitous effect of competition in the corporate market, that corruption and poison must needs be used. More than likely, because people are inoculated against anything less.

All the same, it makes you wonder; who are the corporations really serving with these acts?
The answer, as always, is themselves; the people directing and allowing their corrupted functions; those benefiting most directly from the corruption.

Look at Jim Sterling’s videos, his revelations on the gaming industry. Recognize this is inherent anywhere there is corporate money, influence, or competition. Then remember, you as a human, are the object of competition– as a ball is to a ballgame.

You are being battered for the sake of the satisfaction (of greed) of those involved. This is pandemic!

Thank God for Jim Sterling. He makes my job infinitely easier.

Vignette 1: Dick Nixon’s Blushing

The current political situation in America tells a lot about its majority voters. Even if not pushed toward the eventuality of Resident Dump by external forces, they’d have had to face it sooner or later. This isn’t about wealth, status, class; it’s about a bunch of old racists getting together to try and take back what a black guy and his friends did, right?

It’s all racism, so fuck ’em, right?

Right.

Except… hold on. There’s still more to be said. A LOT more. Enough to fill literal volumes.

For brevity’s sake, let us say the aforementioned is a convenient excuse. True, racism played a part, but it is a simple, media smokescreen for the economic-warfare going on. Look only toward corporations, their historical actions from here back to see;

What these folk cling to is green, and green alone.

Ajit Pai is your enemy because he’s dark-skinned. But not because of his dark skin. Rather, because he is a cutthroat opportunist willing to sell his own heritage down the river for a load of corporate green in his face. The spunk-river he and his ilk seek accepts all colors, creeds, origins, and taints them all the same.

In the end, they’re all green.

In some cases, that’s fine.

Really. A place in nature exists for the greedy. They’re the ones that feed on the weakest food until becoming so fat and bloated, they are the weakest. They’ve no place to go but extinct.

Sooner or later, too, their bloated corpses become seas of life, harboring the next phases of something’s evolution. As Earth’s oceans once harbored the quadrupedal amphibians that later became man. They’ll be dead long before the next evolution arises.

Most others too, but why would they care?

These latest Elite disrupting things are sociopaths and sycophants , suckling teats to damn the litter. All the while, never realizing they’re really bottom-feeding objects of shame to their species.

Of that, these creatures most certainly are. Old money is gone by the fifth generation. And they’re empty as it is. There is no more “beyond” for these creatures. They know that. They care for nothing but the power in the moment.

Think critically and stop letting them divide you with dirty tricks, Dick Nixon’s blushing.

A Quick Raw One From The Author

Hi friends, SMN here to drop a quick update on some things.

First, I managed to get an updated version of The Omega Device put together and uploaded to Smashwords and Kindle.(available in the sidebar->) If you previously purchased my book from Kindle, it will now be consistent with the former edition. (or should update itself to be in the next day or so.)

Second, I’ll be adding an experimental thing this (or possibly, next) week. A Wednesday Vignette series meant to be more disconnected and expository. I felt I needed a catch-all for anything interesting I have/am writing to give a bit more content for you.

So keep an eye on that for WEDNESDAYS.

Last but not least, I want to say a huge thank you to new and returning readers and remind them to check out the other places I’m at. (also sidebar ->) The last couple of months has seen surges in my readership.

Normally, that kind of stuff wouldn’t mean much to people, but it does to me. So, I feel I should say again, “Thank you for everything!”

Especially nowadays, its tough to do anything creative for a living, but I know the traction I’ve seen the last couple of months means I’m headed in the right direction. So, I want you to know how much it means to me that you are all the cause of that.

Until next time,

SMN
